Community Rights in Research: Building Collaborative Research Capacity for Community-Based Organizations

This workshop and manual was created by faculty at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Health Behavior & Health Education Department and with community partners from CHASS Center, Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, Friends of Parkside, and Neighborhood Services Organization.

It contains:

  • A training program aimed at helping to build the capacity of community organizations engaging in collaborative community health research and to ensure that research partnerships are equitable;
  • All necessary workshop materials, including: a customizable presentation, facilitator instructions, participant activities, and supplies lists; and
  • Freely available under Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA.
