Dr. Sharon Kardia is the Senior Associate Dean for Administration at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, as well as a Professor of Epidemiology. She also is the Director of both the Public Health Genetics and Life Sciences and Society programs at the school. She obtained her Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Michigan. Kardia's main research interests are in the genetic epidemiology of common chronic diseases and their risk factors. Her research utilizes genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic measures on large epidemiological cohorts.
