Associate Research Scientist, Department of Psychiatry
Dr. Jennifer Jester is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Addiction Research Center. She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is interested in developmental psychology, and, more specifically, developmental psychopathology. Dr. Jester has researched factors that impact problematic alcohol use and substance abuse. She has also researched the environmental impacts of parental drinking on children’s development and behavioral problems in childhood and adolescence. Dr. Jester is interested in early childhood interventions that could ameliorate the effects of high-risk environments on childhood development.
