Jean Wineman, DArch

Professor Emerita of Architecture, Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning

Dr. Jean Wineman is a Professor Emerita of Architecture at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. She graduated with her D.Arch. from the University of Michigan. Dr. Wineman is an architectural researcher who is particularly experienced in programming, design and evaluation. Through her research, Dr. Wineman has explored the links between visual and spatial properties of architecture and behavioral and educational outcomes, including in urban contexts, in educational settings, and in the work environment. Dr. Wineman is the co-principal investigator of The Healthy Environments Partnership: Lean and Green in Motown, which aims to assess the impact of the built environment on health in Detroit. She is the principal investigator of the project Spatial and Social Networks in Organizational Innovation.
