Dr. Ioulia Kovelman is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. She obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from Datmouth College. Dr. Kovelman’s research focuses on how children learn languages and literacy. Specifically, she is interested in how a child’s developing brain accommodates two or more languages. Dr. Kovelman uses brain imaging and behavioral research to understand language, literacy, and learning in children.
