Genesis Harbor of Opportunities Promoting Excellence (GenesisHOPE), a 501(c)3 MI charitable trust corporation, was founded in August 2008 by Genesis Lutheran Church. The mission of Genesis Hope is to meet the needs of people and communities in Metropolitan Detroit Area to eliminate poverty and powerlessness. Genesis Hope focuses on three areas: Youth, Community and Food and Spirit. Genesis Hope employs programs to improve employability, increase literacy rates , health awareness and community service.
