Dr. Dayna LePlatte is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Michigan Medical School. She obtained her M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. LePlatte is interested in improving community mental health practice and works on improving treatments and preventive interventions related to community mental health. Currently, she is working on the peer-to-peer intervention program called “Moms 4 Moms” which offers social support for mothers with young children in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The intervention aims to strengthen social support networks, improve maternal mental health, and improve children’s development.
