Dr. Muckherjee is a Professor in Biostatistics and Professor in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, as well as the Chair of the Department of Biostatistics. She is also the Associate Director for Quantitative Data Sciences, University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. Her principal research interests lie in Bayesian methods in epidemiology and studies of gene-environment interaction. Dr. Muckherjee's collaborative interests focus on genetic and environmental epidemiology, ranging from investigating the genetic architecture of colorectal cancer in relation to environmental exposures to studies of air pollution on pediatric asthma events in Detroit.
